Nut Allergy Alert – Booker Ltd own brand Euro Shopper Milk Chocolate

The Food Standards Agency issued the following food allergy alert on Wednesday 27th July 2011:

Booker Ltd recalls one batch of its own brand Euro Shopper Milk Chocolate due to a packaging error.

Risk:

Due to a packaging error, the above product may contain nuts. The presence of undeclared nuts poses a health risk to those allergic to nuts.

Product Identification:

Euro Shopper Milk Chocolate, Batch L512620 100g.

Best before end date: April 2012.

Action taken by the company:

The company is recalling the affected product and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at-risk members of the recall. Notices are being displayed in all stores to alert consumers to the reasons for the recall and the actions they can take if they have purchased the product.

No other Euro Shopper batch codes or products are known to be affected.

Advice to consumers:

Customers with an allergy to nuts are advised not to eat this product.
