Chocolate Truffles – Milk Allergy Alert. Booja Booja withdraw all date codes

The Food Standards Agency issued the following food allergy alert on Tuesday 24th May 2011:

Booja Booja withdraw all date codes of chocolate truffles due to cross-contamination with milk

Allergen: Milk

Ref: T/2011

Product:

Booja Booja Hazelnut Crunch, Around Midnight Espresso, Ginger Wine, Cognac Banana, Champagne, Gourmet Selection, Luxury Gift Box

Risk:

All date codes of the above products potentially contain milk, which is not an intended ingredient. This makes these products a potential health risk for people who are allergic or intolerant to milk or milk constituents.

  • Around Midnight Espresso
  • Ginger Wine, Cognac Banana
  • Champagne, Gourmet Selection
  • Luxury Gift Box

All date codes, All Sizes.

Action taken by the company:

The company are re-labelling all affected stock. In addition, the manufacturer will be contacting the relevant allergy support organisations who will inform their at risk members of the withdrawal.

No other Booja Booja products are affected by this issue.

Advice to consumers:

Customers with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents are advised not to eat this product.
